The short answer
CarePredict is a wrist wearable, the Tempo band, with beacons in the main rooms: it detects possible falls from the wrist, follows daily activity and location, and lets the wearer press for help and talk. It is built mainly for senior living, families can buy it as SilverKin, and it has a page for home care agencies. For an agency, the question is whether clients will wear and charge a band. If not, the room-based alternatives are Senecta, which senses heat and sound, asks the client first and then calls your agency and the family; Sensi.AI (audio); Pontosense (radar); and StackCare (motion sensors).

How each one works
CarePredict is worn. The Tempo band on the wrist reads movement, and small beacons in the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room tell it which room the wearer is in. From that it learns daily activities, sends an alert when it detects a possible fall, and flags changes in activity that can come before problems such as urinary infections, malnutrition or depression. The band has a help button and two-way voice, a battery that swaps in seconds, and can be worn in the shower; at home it connects through the home's Wi-Fi.
Senecta looks at heat and listens for events. A low-resolution thermal sensor sees a person as a warm shape, and a microphone listens for the sounds that go with a fall. The pair is built for one question, whether someone went down and stayed down, and the pod asks the client “Are you okay?” before anyone is called. If the answer is not a clear yes, it calls your agency and the family's emergency contacts in the order you agreed. How Senecta detects a possible fall explains the method and its limits.
What is kept, and the consent conversation
Neither uses a camera. CarePredict collects the wearer's motion, steps, location in the home and readings such as heart rate, and SilverKin says nothing is recorded at home. Senecta's thermal sensor sees a person as a warm shape and its microphone's sound is analysed as it happens; nothing is kept except the heat images and audio of a possible fall. The bigger difference is the client's part: a band works only while it is worn and charged, and a pod needs nothing from the client but covers only the rooms it is in. Our security and privacy page sets out exactly what Senecta keeps.
Who answers when something happens
CarePredict sends its alerts to staff, or to the family with SilverKin, by app, call, text or email, and the wearer can press the button and talk to a caregiver; we found no CarePredict monitoring centre, and SilverKin says it is not an emergency service. Senecta has no monitoring centre either. When it notices a possible fall, the pod asks the client “Are you okay?” out loud and then calls your agency and the family's emergency contacts, in the order you agreed, until someone answers (see how it works).

When CarePredict is the better choice
- Your clients will wear a band day and night, and you want help and voice anywhere in the home, not just in the rooms with a sensor.
- You want activity trends beyond falls, such as eating, sleeping and movement, with pulse and oxygen readings.
- You also serve senior living communities that use its integrations with ALIS, PointClickCare or nurse call.
When Senecta is the better choice
- Your clients forget, refuse or take off a wearable, and you want cover that needs nothing from them.
- You want the client asked “Are you okay?” before anyone is called.
- You want pods with their own cellular connection, with no home Wi-Fi to set up.
- You want to offer the service under your agency's name.
Questions agency owners ask
What are the alternatives to CarePredict for home care agencies?
If clients will not wear a band, room sensors: Senecta (heat and sound, under the agency's name), Sensi.AI (audio pods), Pontosense (radar) and StackCare (motion sensors).
Does CarePredict detect falls?
Yes. Its band sends an alert when it detects a possible fall, and its platform also flags fall risk from changes in activity. Like any wearable, it works only while the band is worn and charged.
Does CarePredict work in a client's own home?
Yes: families can buy it as SilverKin, which runs on the home's Wi-Fi, and CarePredict has a page for home care agencies; its published focus is senior living.
Does Senecta need the client to wear anything?
No. Senecta's pods sit in the rooms you choose, plug into the wall and have their own cellular connection; the client does not wear, charge or press anything.

Book your agency demoSenecta makes one of the products compared here, so read our description of ourselves with that in mind. We have described CarePredict and the other products from their own public pages and their partners', as read on October 21, 2026, and linked each one; their offers may change. Senecta is not an emergency service or a staffed monitoring centre, does not replace in-person care, and no system detects every fall.
