About Senecta

Camera-free care intelligence for home care agencies: who we are, what we do, and the facts you would want checked.

In one sentence

Senecta is a camera-free home monitoring and care intelligence company that shows home care agencies, with evidence, when a client needs more support between visits.

Small plug-in pods sit in the rooms an older adult uses most. They capture no images and no video. Senecta reads the changes in mobility and daily routine, joins them to the agency's own care records, and turns the result into reports and plain-English answers a care manager can act on.

What Senecta does

Camera-free home monitoring

One pod per room, plugged into a wall outlet. No cameras, no wearables, no installer visit. The pods pick up movement and routine, such as how much a client walks, how often they get up at night and how long they spend in bed, without recording images or video.

Evidence-backed reports

Senecta compares each client to their own baseline and to age norms for mobility, then writes up what changed and why it matters. An agency can show a family that walking speed fell 18 percent this week and nighttime bathroom visits doubled, instead of saying a caregiver had a feeling.

Answers in chat

Care teams ask questions in plain language: who needs attention today, does this client need more hours, is there an immediate concern. Senecta answers with the evidence attached, so care plan changes and billable hours are backed by data rather than instinct.

Integration with your care software

Senecta connects to the scheduling and care-management tools agencies already run, including WellSky, AlayaCare, HHAeXchange, Axxess, AxisCare, CareTime, KanTime, MatrixCare, Sandata and ShiftCare. Visit notes and schedules become part of the picture, so answers reflect the whole client and not only the sensor data.

Your brand on the service

Agencies can offer the monitoring under their own name. The family sees the agency they already trust, and the agency adds a recurring service without building the technology.

What makes Senecta different

Nothing to wear and nothing to install

CarePredict depends on the client wearing a device every day, and Vayyar Care is a wall-mounted unit that has to be fitted in each room. Senecta pods plug into an outlet and work from a shelf, so an agency can cover a home in the time it takes to unpack the box.

No images, no video, and no listening for alerts

Sensi.AI built the category on audio pods that listen continuously and flag events. Senecta does not capture images or video, and its reports come from mobility and routine patterns rather than from what is said in the home. That is the difference families ask about first.

Answers with the evidence attached, not a stream of alerts

Most monitoring products stop at the alert. Senecta joins home activity with care records and answers the question a care manager actually has: does this client need more support, and what is the evidence. Agencies using Senecta report up to 85 percent more billable hours and 22 percent fewer hospital and ER visits.

Built for independent agencies, month to month

Sensi.AI has focused on large franchise networks and enterprise organisations, with a preferred partnership at SYNERGY HomeCare. Senecta is billed month to month with no minimum term, and the hardware is loaned rather than bought, so a 20-client agency can start with a handful of homes and stop whenever it wants.

Works with the software you already run

Rather than asking teams to log into one more dashboard, Senecta integrates with more than ten home care platforms, from WellSky and AlayaCare to HHAeXchange and Axxess. Reports and answers carry the client's care context, which a standalone sensor product cannot provide.

Who uses Senecta

  • Independent, owner-operated private-pay home care agencies in the United States, typically 20 to 200 active clients.
  • Care managers, RN supervisors and client-services leads who decide when a care plan needs more hours.
  • Franchise offices with the authority to choose their own tools, where the local owner runs the client relationship.
  • Agencies that want to resell in-home monitoring to families as an additional recurring service under their own brand.

The team behind Senecta

Marcos Junca, Co-founder and CTO

Before Senecta, Marcos co-founded Taleva, a recruitment software company. He brought the same habit of building software around the people who use it every day, this time care managers instead of recruiters. Connect with him on LinkedIn.

Mauro Junca, Co-founder and CEO

Mauro co-founded Taleva with Marcos and now leads Senecta, running the agency demos himself so every product decision starts from a real care question. Connect with him on LinkedIn.

Origin story

Senecta started in San Francisco in 2026 because the founders watched their own grandparents struggle with falls, and every solution on offer asked them to give up either their freedom or their privacy. They set out to build one that asked for neither: nothing to wear, no camera in the home, and evidence the family and the agency could act on.

Team

The team is based in San Francisco. Senecta, Inc. is a Delaware company and part of Senecta Labs.

How working with Senecta works

Start with a demo

Book a 30-minute demo and bring one hard care question. The demo runs on your workflow, not a generic presentation, and you speak to the founder rather than a sales team.

Onboarding

Pods ship to the agency, and each home is live the same day they are placed and plugged in. The care-software integration is set up during onboarding so answers include visit notes and schedules from day one.

Communication and support

Support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Email hello@senecta.ai or call +1 628 265 5995. Agencies work directly with the founding team.

Terms

Month-to-month agreements per household, no minimum term, and the sensors remain Senecta property and are returned when a household stops. The data processing addendum, privacy policy and terms are published in full at senecta.ai/legal.

Frequently asked questions

Is Senecta a medical device?

No. Senecta is a monitoring and care-intelligence tool for home care teams and families. It does not diagnose, and its reports support decisions made by the agency and the family rather than replace clinical judgement.

What does a pod actually record?

Movement and routine patterns in the room, such as activity level, walking speed and time in bed. It does not capture images or video, so there is nothing of that kind to store or share.

Who owns the data?

The agency owns its client data, and the family owns its own. Senecta processes it under the published data processing addendum and privacy policy, with controlled access and data minimisation.

Do we have to sign a long contract?

No. Agreements run month to month per household with no minimum term. Sensors are loaned and returned when a household stops.

Can an agency resell Senecta to families?

Yes. Agencies can offer the monitoring subscription to families as an additional service. The hardware itself stays Senecta property.

How is Senecta different from Sensi.AI?

Sensi.AI listens for events with audio pods and has focused on large franchise and enterprise networks. Senecta captures no images or video, answers care managers' questions with evidence from mobility and routine data joined to care records, and sells month to month to independent agencies.
