Senecta vs Sensi.AI

Two ways to keep watch over clients between visits, compared on the questions agency owners ask, from each company's own published terms.

The short answer

Sensi.AI is the established platform: audio pods in the client's home, a broader software suite for care, sales and operations, priced by your agency's billable hours with a monthly minimum, and always branded Sensi. Senecta is newer and narrower: pods that combine low-resolution thermal sensing and sound to notice a possible fall, priced per client home at $149 a month with no minimum, month to month, and offered under your agency's name. If you want every client covered by one platform, Sensi is built for that. If you want to sell between-visit cover to some families, under your own brand, Senecta is.

How each one senses

Sensi.AI listens. Three wall-plug pods, usually in the bathroom, the bedroom and the living room, collect audio, and its software turns what happens in the home into insights and notifications for the agency's care team: falls and distress, but also changes in routine, mood, behaviour and health that a care manager may want to know about. Sound reaches every corner of a room and does not need a line of sight.

Senecta looks at heat and listens for events. A low-resolution thermal sensor sees a person as a warm shape, and a microphone listens for the sounds that go with a fall. The pair is built for one question, whether someone went down and stayed down, and the pod asks the client before anyone is called. How Senecta detects a possible fall explains the method and its limits.

What is kept, and the consent conversation

The question families ask first is whether the device records them. Sensi.AI's privacy policy describes a solution based on collecting raw audio data, with event records that can include an audio recording of the event. Senecta's agreement says the opposite by default: audio and heat images are analysed in real time and not stored, recorded or transcribed, except the moments around an event classified as a possible fall. Either way, in all-party consent states everyone a microphone could pick up has to agree, so the conversation with the family is the same work. What you can tell them afterwards is different. Our security and privacy page sets out exactly what Senecta keeps.

Price and contract

The two companies price differently, so which is cheaper depends on how many of your clients you want to cover.

  • Sensi.AI prices by your agency's billable hours: $1 an hour with a $1,800 monthly minimum, and an advertised 50% off the first year, on its offer page as of October 11, 2026. Ask Sensi for a quote for your agency; the offer may change.
  • Senecta prices by the home: $149 a month for each client home with up to three pods, $25 for each extra pod, month to month, with no minimum number of homes. See pricing.

Illustrative arithmetic from each company's published list price, before Sensi's first-year discount and any sales tax. Sensi's figure assumes it is set by all billable hours, as its offer page describes.

Per client, an hourly price is lower when every client is covered; a per-home price is lower when monitoring is something you sell to the families who want it. That is the real choice between the two.

Whose name families see

Sensi.AI's brand guidelines are explicit: no white labeling, and any service using its technology carries the Sensi name, as in "Powered by Sensi". For many franchise networks that is a feature: one recognised name across offices. Senecta is offered under your agency's name, so between-visit cover reads as part of your care, on your invoice.

When Sensi.AI is the better choice

  • Your franchise network already has a Sensi partnership, or its systems are built around Sensi.
  • You want every client covered, and audio-based insights beyond falls, such as routine and behaviour changes, feeding your care team.
  • You want one vendor for care monitoring, sales follow-up and caregiver communication.
  • You value an established vendor with years of customers and case studies over a newer one.

When Senecta is the better choice

  • You want to start with a few homes, month to month, with no minimum and no agency-wide commitment.
  • Your families push back on microphones that collect audio, and you want to tell them nothing is recorded unless a fall is suspected.
  • You want to sell between-visit cover as your own service, under your name and at your price.
  • Your clients do not have reliable Wi-Fi, and you want pods that bring their own cellular connection.

Questions agency owners ask

Is Senecta cheaper than Sensi.AI?

It depends on how many clients you cover. Sensi.AI prices by your agency's billable hours with a $1,800 monthly minimum; Senecta charges $149 per client home with no minimum. Covering a few homes, Senecta costs less; covering every client in a large agency, Sensi's hourly price can cost less per client.

Does Sensi.AI use cameras?

No. Sensi.AI's pods collect audio. Senecta's pods have no ordinary camera either: they use low-resolution thermal sensing and sound.

Can we put our own brand on Sensi.AI?

According to Sensi.AI's brand guidelines, no: it does not allow white labeling, and services using its technology must carry the Sensi name. Senecta is offered under your agency's name.

Do both need the client's Wi-Fi?

Neither relies on the client's own Wi-Fi: Sensi.AI's kits include a Wi-Fi router, and Senecta's pods have built-in cellular.

Senecta makes one of the two products compared here, so read our description of ourselves with that in mind. We have described Sensi.AI from its own public pages and announcements as read on October 11, 2026, and linked each one; its offer and terms may change. Senecta is not an emergency service or a staffed monitoring centre, does not replace in-person care, and no system detects every fall.
