Nature of business
Senecta develops and supplies an ambient monitoring system for private homes. Senecta sensors combine radar (radio frequency) sensing and acoustic sensing. They contain no camera and capture no images or video. The system is supplied to home care agencies and similar organisations, which use the information it produces to inform the care they deliver to their own clients.
The Senecta system is a wellness and operational insight product. It is not an FDA-cleared or FDA-approved medical device, it is not a personal emergency response system, it does not
summon emergency services, and it is not monitored by Senecta at any hour. It does not replace in-person care or clinical judgment. Detection of events, including falls, is probabilistic and will produce both false positives and false negatives.

Regulatory status
Senecta is not a healthcare provider, a home care agency, a health plan, or a healthcare clearinghouse. Senecta does not provide medical advice, nursing services, or care services of any kind, and no provider-patient relationship arises from use of the Senecta system.
