What we collect, and what we do with it.

Senecta Pods observe activity inside somebody's home, so we would rather describe their data handling plainly than hide it behind the usual wording. This page covers both the Senecta website and the Pods used for room monitoring.
This website
The consumer product and checkout pages use first-party event counts to measure interest in Senecta. We count product-page visits, checkout visits, form starts, valid email completion, completed delivery fields, attempts to use the unavailable card area, completed contact and delivery fields, and Buy clicks. These events are sent to our own server. We do not use third-party analytics scripts or advertising pixels.
The checkout interest test
Card entry and payment are unavailable. Your typed name, email and address stay in the page on your device; they are not submitted or saved by Senecta. We record only which steps were completed—including whether a valid email was entered, delivery fields were completed, or the unavailable card area was selected—the selected pod quantity, the time, and campaign identifiers when the visit came from one of our Google ads. We do not record search text or use these events to contact you.
A random session identifier and event status are kept in your browser's tab-scoped session storage, so reloads do not repeatedly count the same step. A new session starts when a page loads after 30 minutes without a recorded interaction. Closing the tab normally clears this storage. It contains no form values. If storage is unavailable, counts may repeat across page loads. Event records are retained for up to 90 days and removed as new events arrive. Our server's ordinary access logs also contain IP addresses; these are not stored in the checkout event table. We use these counts to assess demand, not to verify identities or completed purchases, and do not sell or share the event records with advertisers.
If you join the early-access list
The form asks for an email address, and everything else on it is optional. We store:
- the email address you give us, which is the only required field
- anything you choose to add: your name, who you look after, roughly where they live, and whatever you write in the notes
- the date and time you submitted it, and the browser user-agent string
We use it to reply to you, to understand who is asking, and to decide which households to work with first. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anybody outside Senecta AI, and we do not add you to any other list. If you tell us to delete it, we delete it.
It lives in a database on our own server, which is the same machine serving this page. Our web server keeps access logs that include IP addresses; those rotate automatically and are not linked to your signup record.
How Senecta Pods handle in-home data
- No camera. The Pod does not capture images or video.
- Radar measures activity, not identity. The product is designed to observe presence, position, movement, and routine changes inside the assigned room.
- Sound classification is optional and local. When enabled, the microphone classifies a limited set of non-speech events on the Pod. Continuous or raw household audio is not uploaded or retained.
- No speaker or voice assistant. The Pod does not speak to the resident and is not designed to record or transcribe conversations.
- Sensor records stay attributable. Measurements and events should retain their Pod, room, timestamp, coverage, and quality context so they can be reviewed rather than treated as unexplained conclusions.
The person being monitored must be informed about the system and the organization deploying it must collect the consent required for that setting. Optional sound classification should not be enabled where the necessary consent is absent.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will do it. One email is enough and you do not need to give a reason. If you are in the UK or the EU you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
